Wicker bags were always something that made me think of my grandma. She would take her wicker bag and go to the market and come back with it full of oranges and apples. Nevertheless I always thought it was quite fabulous. And now that it’s a trend, I have to say that I’m really happy. No matter which outfit you add it to, a wicker bag can bring that effortless French girl chicness. There are just so many types of wicker bags in stores everywhere, that whether you want like a large tote bag or a small cross-body, the options are endless. I went with this clutch from Free People, that was actually gifted to me by one of my besties.
I paired it with these embroidered shorts from Zara (similar here). Who says you can’t wear velvet in summer?
And I added this amazing summer knit from Urban Outfitters. I feel that even if it’s a little contradictory to wear knits in the summer, it is still quite chic If you pick the appropriate kind of knit.
As for my accessories, I added a classic red beret and my favorite new shoes from Oak+Fort (similar here). I wanted to add a pop of green with my shoes, to really tie in the green embroidery on the shorts.
Here are jus some of my favorite options, if you wanna get yourself a Wicker Bag:
